THE Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival boasts a brilliant array of feature races that culminates with the Group 3 Launceston Cup on the last Wednesday in February.
But besides boasting premier racing at the Sky Racing Centre at Mowbray, the region also boasts Festivale, considered by many as one of Tasmania's premier summer events.
The three-day event from February 1-3 (Friday-Sunday) boasts the very best of Tasmanian food, wine, beer, cider, spirits, coupled with three days of music from some of the best acts in Australia and this season’s offering is set to bring City Park in Launceston to life.
The headline acts booked to rock the stage at Festivale 2019 will cater to all tastes.
Opening night (Friday) boasts Hoodoo Gurus, Ross Wilson and Jeff Lang and on Saturday night Kate Ceberano and Jon Stevens will deliver their brand of music with Ceberano to be joined by Brian Cadd for the Sunday night show.
Festivale has grown in popularity, which is evidenced with the corporate and group passes for 10 people with reserved seating sold out for all three days.
The affordability of Festivale makes it one of the best value events in the state with a family pass, comprising two adults and four children (0-14), only $40 on Sunday; $50 on Friday and $60 on Saturday.
Festivale is a brilliant entrée to the northern leg of the Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival.
