Welcome to the DHRC

The DHRC was formerly located at the Devonport Showgrounds where it conducts 13 meetings each season from November to July.

The feature meeting of the season is the Devonport Pacing Cup.

PLESE NOTE: The Devonport Pacing Cup and other regular meetings will be conducted at other racetracks in Tasmania while a new track is developed in the northwest of the state.

Did you know ...

The first Devonport Trotting Club was formed in 1911 and staged its first meeting on the Showgrounds on Thursday 22 June 1922.

Nora Creina won the first two races and Forest King won the next two after finishing third in the second race. The Club only held a few more meetings before being disbanded.

In 1927 the Club was reformed and held its first meeting on the Spreyton Racecourse on 6 June, after which it transferred back to the Showgrounds.

New track

The DHRC will be located at the new northwest track when completed.

Memberships

Members are personally invited to all club functions and events. They also have voting rights at the annual general meeting.
