The Devonport Harness Racing Club
The Devonport Harness Racing Club (DHRC) conducts 13 meetings each season from November to July and is located at the Devonport Showgrounds. The close proximity of the track to the grandstand gives members and guests a unique harness racing experience which brings the excitement and adrenalin of harness racing to life.
Facilities
Cheers Restaurant is open at feature race meetings and provides diners with a great view of the track. Bookings can be made with the club. Quality take away including great Asian style dishes are available on both sides of the ground at all meetings. The Thorate Bar is located in the back straight near the stabling area, providing great views of the track and is open to the public.
Pony Trots
Pony Trots are conducted from December to March for registered children aged six to 14 and are always a hit with families and the general public.

Devonport Showgrounds
Located at the Devonport Showgrounds in the heart of the city, DHRC is only a short distance from accommodation and local attractions. Entry is via the Parker St or Gunn St gates for foot or vehicle traffic.

Memberships
Members are personally invited to all club functions and events. They also have voting rights at the annual general meeting.
